Origins

After selling his tech company in 2011, John Vogel found himself with plenty of free time to devote to some personal projects.  One of those being updating a dull contact list.  The list lacked photos of contacts because everyone was too busy to submit their photo.  He recalled an experience he had a few years prior at a Wedding reception where everyone was having a great time getting their photos taken in a Photo Booth.  He remembered that he still had those pictures with silly hats and mustaches and thinking how he never thought he would have taken such candid and zanny pictures.  So he set out to build a Photo Booth.  There weren't a lot of options back then and the ones that were available were very expensive and very low-tech. He knew he could do better.  He had all the equipment to build a very unique photo booth that allowed users to share their photos digitally in addition to being printed.  The project was a great success, the individuals were invited to use the photo booth and before you knew it, the contact list was complete with photos, and e-Photobooth was born.  Photos were printed OR e-mailed and shared digitally while most other photo booths could only print photos (thus e-Photobooth).  John wasn't the only one having fun, others begin to ask if they could rent his booth out for their events.  Fast forward several years and several booths later, and after thousands of smiles printed and shared, his passion hasn't ever gone away.  When asked why he keeps doing it, he says, "the best feeling you can have is when you provide a service that everybody loves and puts smiles on faces, we need more of that!"
